Executive Managers |  | Chief Executive Officer Anthony Ball Anthony was appointed as ClubsNSW CEO on 28 June 2010. He is also CEO of ClubKENO Holdings and Executive Director of ClubsAustralia, the national umbrella association for clubs. Anthony has a Bachelor of Economics from the Australian National University, a Certificate of Public Affairs from the University of Sydney and is a graduate of the American University’s Public Affairs and Advocacy Institute in Washington DC. Anthony has been with ClubsNSW since 1999, most recently as the head of policy and government where he was responsible for industry advocacy in the state and federal arenas and developing policy in close consultation with ClubsNSW members in areas such as taxation, smoking, liquor reform and problem gambling. Deputy Chief Executive Officer Wayne Krelle Wayne commenced with ClubsNSW as assistant to the Executive Director in August 1988. Prior to ClubsNSW, Wayne worked with the then Industries Assistance Commission (now known as the Productivity Commission) in both Canberra and Sydney for eight years and then with the NSW Prices Commission and other roles within the Department of Fair Trading. Wayne is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and as such has an involvement in all major issues facing the Club Movement, negotiation with government and maintaining a strategic overview of the overall operation of ClubsNSW are key areas of responsibility. Wayne holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales. Wayne is also Chairman of Club Plus, the club industry's own superannuation fund. | |  |
Executive Manager, Policy and Government Josh Landis Josh has been with ClubsNSW since 2007 and held the role of Senior Policy Officer and Manager of Government Relations. Josh had a key role coordinating ClubsAustralia’s response to the Productivity Commission’s gambling inquiry. Josh brings extensive qualifications to the role. He holds degrees from the University of Wollongong including Arts (Communications – with Distinction) and Law as well as a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. He has practised law in Sydney and London. Prior to joining ClubsNSW he worked as a policy advisor to a number of senior Ministers in the NSW Government developing a comprehensive understanding of the political process. Josh is responsible for the development and implementation of policy for ClubsNSW and ClubsAustralia, and manages the day-to-day operation of ClubsAustralia. He is the club industry’s principal point of contact for politicians and the public service in NSW and federally. His team are responsible for media, governance, policy, regulation and legislation in all matters affecting clubs but primarily including gambling, taxation, alcohol and smoking. | |  | Executive Manager, Member Services and Marketing Anne Fitzgerald
Anne has been with ClubsNSW since 2001 and brings to the association extensive management experience in complex membership-based organisations. Anne also has a background in sales management, customer service, and communications and holds an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management, a Graduate Diploma in Public Sector Management from the University of Technology, NSW, and a BA from the University of Newcastle. Anne's role is to oversee the provision of a range of products and services to assist member clubs, including the Club Directors' Institute and the ClubSAFE Responsible Gambling Program. Anne is also responsible for the direction and development of ClubsNSW's marketing program including communications, sponsorships, events and public relations. Anne is Vice Chairman of HTN, a group training company employing in excess of 500 apprentice chefs and hospitality trainees, is a Director of Future Achievement Australia, and a Director of the Talent Development Project which aims to develop the talents and careers of young Australian performers and songwriters. | |  |
Executive Manager, Finance and Administration Brandon Punter Brandon is a CPA and has been a member of the Australian Society of CPAs since 1997, after completing his Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at the University of Western Sydney in 1995. Brandon brings a broad range of skills to the role and understands the club industry well after 12 years at South Sydney Leagues Club and South Sydney Football Club, where he held various roles including Commercial Manager, Financial Controller and Chief Operating Officer. |  |
Executive Manager, Workplace Relations Richard Tait Richard has over 15 years experience in industrial relations and human resources representing and advising employers in a wide range of industries including plumbing, real estate and clubs. Richard has regularly presented seminars and workshops on industrial relations including lecturing at the University of Western Sydney. He has represented employers in a wide range of courts and tribunals including NSW and Australian Industrial Relations Commission; Chief Industrial magistrate's Court; Anti-Discrimination Tribunal; Human Rights & Equal Opportunity Employment Tribunal. Richard represents ClubsNSW interests on a number of Boards including Club Plus, Australian Business Industrial Council and WorkCover Industry Reference Group. Richard's specific areas of interest include negotiating with unions; preparation of employment contracts, collective agreements and executive common law contracts; advocacy before the various industrial courts and tribunals; strategic IR and HR advice for employers; Strengthening relationships between various IR stakeholders within industries and at the enterprise. Richard has a Bachelor of Laws (Macquarie University), Honours IR (Newcastle University), a Bachelor of Arts (Economic and History majors) and Cert. Practice Management. Richard manages a team of experienced advocates and the Member Enquiry Centre. | | |
