
The ClubsNSW Academy Games is a multi-sport festival organised and managed by the Academies of Sport Inc (ASi).
The ASi is a unique body representing the 11 Regional Academies of Sport (RAS) operating across NSW. Academies include Central Coast, Far West, Hunter, Illawarra, North Coast , Northern Inland, Southern, South East, South West Sydney, Western Region and Western Sydney.
The RAS network covers each of the points of the compass in NSW and the vision and charter of the ASi is to work collaboratively for the betterment of athlete development in NSW and Australia. The development of the ClubsNSW Academy Games is the first demonstration of the strength and commitment of the RAS Network to deliver tangible benefits to athletes throughout NSW.
The ClubsNSW Academy Games commenced in 2005 with the Central Coast Academy of Sport hosting the event for the initial 3 years. The Northern Inland Academy of Sport hosted the event for the 3rd and final time in April 2011. The Illawarra Academy of Sport hosted the event in April 2012 and will continue to be the host in 2013 and 2014.
The 2013 Academy Games will take place from 18 to 21 April, 2013.
