Grandparents Day logo

ClubsNSW, in partnership with COTA, is very pleased to be supporting this special day that is celebrated on the last Sunday of October each year.

In 2012, Grandparent's Day will be held on Sunday 28 October. 

ClubsNSW would like to encourage all of our member clubs to help celebrate the occasion by organising an activity, event or even a special offer for grandparents and their families on Grandparent’s Day. Grandparents Day, an annual initiative funded by the NSW Government and organised by COTA, was established in September 2011 as a day to acknowledge the valuable role grandparents have always played in society by offering care, guidance, love and support to their children and grandchildren. As stated by Premier Barry O'Farrell: "Grandparents are the unsung heroes in our community and it's only appropriate they are recognised with a day in their honour”.  As the heart of the community, this is a great opportunity for clubs to further reinforce the important unique role they play in society by supporting and celebrating Grandparents everywhere.
