2008 Annual Conference and Trade Expo
More than 1400 delegates attended the 2008 ClubsNSW Annual Conference and Trade Expo held from 11 to 14 October at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Broadbeach. Delegates came from clubs across NSW, Queensland, ACT, Victoria and South Australia, with even some from New Zealand.
ClubsNSW diamond partner IGT was the major sponsor for the conference, trade expo and gala dinner showing their commitment to the club industry. Other sponsors of the seminar sessions included: ATMAAC, Fonterra Foodservices, Paynter Dixon, Pigott Stinson, ClubsNSW Insurance Services, Komosion and the NSW Department of Sport and Recreation.
The delegates heard fascinating keynotes from Dean Karnazes (the Ultramarathon Man) and Charlie Lynn (Kokoda Trek Adventures). Both speakers challenged delegates and their clubs to stand up in the face of these difficult times and move beyond survival to success.

What is the ClubsNSW Conference all about?
The conference and trade expo, held within the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Broadbeach is in a prime position to enjoy everything that this wonderful part of Southern Queensland has to offer.
The delegates begin their conference experience at the Welcome Party, situated within the Trade Expo. The integration of these two activities allows both delegates and exhibitors the opportunity to catch up with old friends whilst viewing the new and exciting products on offer by the exhibitors.
The following day, the delegates and exhibitors have the opportunity to attend a plenary session and enjoy topical presentations from world class keynote speakers in addition to industry updates from ClubsNSW and the NSW State Government. Day three sees delegates break into smaller groups to attend seminar sessions relevant to their club. The topics, speakers and case studies for these are designed to reflect current industry trends and educational needs.
