Director Training

The ClubsNSW Pathway for directors encompasses a number of essential training programs.

ClubPathwaysBanner_Web

Overview

Director training starts before you get elected, with the Future Director Information session to brief you on your role and responsibilities. The next step involves doing the mandatory director training required under NSW law, which covers your roles and responsibilities as well as financial governance duties.

To round out your knowledge, you can then elect to do the balance of the ClubsNSW Governance program units, ensuring your breadth of knowledge in effective club governance. To formalise those skill sets, you can then complete the additional assessment work to gain your nationally-accredited qualification.

The ultimate level of professional development for club directors would then be the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) program.
