VETis programs embrace those with a practical intelligence who are keen to join the workforce sooner rather than later.
While minors cannot work in the areas that serve liquor or gaming, there are many other areas within clubs that can provide a doorway into the industry i.e. food preparation or administration.
All clubs operate autonomously and are governed by a Board of Directors, whose responsibility it is to make decisions affecting club operations.
The Club Industry would not exist without the thousands of dedicated directors, many of whose diverse and valued skills are volunteered.
The role of a Director is fundamental to every club, so attracting the right people is essential for the future of the club industry.
There are 44,000 volunteers across NSW. Collectively, they donate 1.6 million hours of their time per annum. Their commitment to their local club and community epitomises exactly what clubs are all about. Many clubs could not operate without these remarkable people.
If you are interested in giving back to the community, your local club would love to hear from you. Find your local club.
