5:30pm, 19th October, 2020
Member clubs are advised that, today, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced further restrictions to be eased:
Booking and group size
From this Friday, 23 October 2020, clubs may accept bookings or reservations of up to 30 patrons. Clubs may also permit groups of up to 30 patrons on the club premises.
Currently, there is a 10-patron limit for bookings, reservations and group sizes.
The increase in group and booking sizes is an important measure which will enable clubs to accommodate gatherings leading up to the holiday period.
It is noted that in announcing the further easing of restrictions, the NSW Premier said that hospitality venues are safer to hold Christmas lunches and other gatherings than the confines of a home.
Wedding capacity increased to 300
From Tuesday, 1 December 2020, the capacity of weddings will increase from 150 to 300 people.
The capacity of weddings will continue to be subjected to the 4 square metre rule in indoor areas and 2 square metres in an outdoor area.
Further information can be found in Circular 20-188.
