Cultural Competency Training

Premium Service

This training is geared to assist staff to respond confidently and appropriately to those frequenting a club from a Cultural and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) background. Training programs can be tailored specifically to your Club’s needs and cultural demographics.

This training is delivered to you from the Multi-Cultural Problem Gambling Service (MCPGS), a division of the Trans-Cultural Metal Health service (Western Sydney Area Health Service). 

Duration: 3 hours approx. available face-to-face, bookings required.

Employee Assistance Program

Premium Service

The ClubSAFE Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a work-based intervention program designed to enhance the emotional, mental and general psychological well-being of all employees at our Premium member clubs.

There is no legal requirement for employers to provide such a service, however, the aim is to provide preventive and proactive interventions for the early detection, identification and/or resolution of both work and personal problems that may adversely affect performance and well-being. 

The ClubSAFE Premium EAP service can provide counselling to employees for a broad range of issues and is delivered by an experienced and highly qualified psychotherapist and counsellor with a Bachelor’s degree in Counselling and Human Change. Such issues include:

  • Addiction - gambling, alcohol, drugs
  • Grief - death of family member, friend or work colleague 
  • Stress (work-related or otherwise)
  • Trauma from armed robberies or assaults
  • Relationships – avoiding a break-up or dealing with issues from a breakup

DiSC Workplace Training

Premium Service

DISC profiling is a recently introduced benefit for Premium members. 

DISC provides club staff and directors with the opportunity to better understand the behavioural qualities unique to each individual and how best to harness these differences for a more productive and cohesive workplace. 

This user-friendly behavioural assessment tool starts with an online questionnaire and culminates in a three-hour session held at the club. The session assists staff in interpreting and debriefing the personalised reports for participants. During the session, a facilitator guides staff through the behavioural factors of DISC and how best to structure and communicate as a team for maximum benefit to all participants and your club(s).

Duration: 3 hours approx. available face-to-face, bookings required (up to nine directors or nine management staff).

Legal Advice

Premium Service

For legislative and regulatory requirements, and advice on how to respond to them, Premium member clubs can place an enquiry with the ClubSAFE Senior Policy Officers. 

If the enquiry falls outside their scope for advice, ClubSAFE relies on the advice of our Industry Partner law firm – Piggott Stinson. Costs associated with provision of legal advice on an ad hoc basis are included in Premium membership.
