Membership of the Club Directors Institute provides full access to all the training, development, tools and templates that you and your club need to meet your compliance and governance obligations, and improve operations and financial viability. 

Governance Directions 2017-2021 continues to be the focus of the CDI 2021 program – its core purpose is to ensure your club remains profitable, sustainable and compliant. Aligned with the AICD 10 Good Governance Principles for Not-for-Profit Organisations and nationally accredited governance competencies, the five key Governance Directions strategies will continue to be implemented to ensure that your club grows and prospers for the benefit of your community.

A fundamental resource for CDI members, Club Director Magazine covers the latest trends, topics and tips regarding the evolving role of the club director, board operations, and industry governance. Published three times a year (in print and online with access to back issues), Club Direct delivers quality reading on topics which are pertinent to the role of board members and CEOs.

Resources to enable clubs to build their director pipeline by recruiting the best candidates to their board, and helps ensure those candidates are equipped with the knowledge they need to best fulfil their role. 

This guide provides access to templates and checklists covering induction by the Chair and club manager, role expectations, rules for staff engagement, board meeting attendance, compliance and training.


Membership Discounts

In addition to the exclusive inclusions detailed above, CDI membership also provides discounts on other training and board assessments. Mandatory Director Training and courses within the ClubsNSW Governance Course or the Certificate IV in Governance are offered at a discounted rate for CDI members. 

Membership Term and Cost

CDI Membership runs from 1 January to 31 December and is charged per director or manager.

Memberships for the 2021 year will be available for renewal from December 2020. To renew, visit the Renewals section of Manage My Memberships. To join or transfer a membership (to an incoming director/manager following the election to the board or change of employment), visit the Directors/Staff section of Manage My Membership (NB: only users with 'primary contact' or 'web user admin' access can renew memberships and register staff for CDI membership).
