Overview
The ‘Responsible Gambling Officers (RGO) Guide to Best Practice’ course is designed to supplement the Advanced RCG and provide RGOs with the knowledge, skills and confidence required to effectively fulfil their role in supporting responsible gambling practices and promoting player welfare within gaming venues.
This course is for
- Newly appointed Responsible Gambling Officers (RGOs)
- Existing RGOs seeking to refresh or enhance their knowledge and skills
- Gaming managers and supervisors responsible for overseeing gaming operations
Requirement
Although this course is voluntary, venues with more than 20 gaming machines are required to have a Responsible Gambling Officer (RGO) on duty while poker machines are in operation.
Timeframes and exemptions
- Clubs with no gaming operations need not have staff complete this course
