Required training for staff
To work in a registered club there are some specific requirements before you begin a role and some that are required once in the position (dependant on the club)
Required under the Liquor Act
To sell, serve or supply alcohol you must have completed the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course. This course will need to be refreshed every five years.
A competency card is also required. Find out where to complete your RSA course here.
Required under the Gaming Machines Regulation
If your work duties involve gaming machines you must have completed the Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) course. This course will need to be refreshed every five years.

Required under the Gaming Machines and Liquor Amendment (Harm Minimisation Measures Regulation 2024)
Required for Responsible Gambling Officers (club dependent).
This course provides staff with the practical skills required to proactively assist patrons who might be experiencing gambling harm.

Virtual Training Requirements:
Each student must log in separately and be able to access a Microsoft Teams meeting
Each studeds device (laptop, desktop or tablet) must have a working webcam and microphone to actively participate – webcams must remain switched on throughout training, excluding breaks
Students must also be able to complete the digital workbook while remaining connected to the course.
This course prepares AML/CTF Compliance Officers to understand their obligations and deliver AML/CTF compliance in registered clubs.
