Clubs across Orange, Dubbo and Bathurst will help support sessions to support women and families impacted by domestic and family violence.
Regional clubs continue to play an important role in bringing people together when it matters most.
This September, clubs across Orange, Dubbo and Bathurst will help support the Women’s Resilience Centre as it brings free community connection events to the Orana region, focused on recovery, resilience and practical support for women and families impacted by domestic and family violence.
The Women’s Resilience Centre, a national not-for-profit organisation supporting women and families recovering from domestic abuse and trauma, is bringing its Spring into Resilience: Orana CommuniTEA events to regional NSW.
The events are designed to bring local service providers, community organisations, business leaders and stakeholders together to explore how communities can strengthen long-term recovery support for women and families across the region.
For many women, leaving a crisis situation is only the first step. The Women’s Resilience Centre identifies a critical gap in long-term recovery services, particularly in regional areas, and delivers free, trauma-informed programs that support financial wellbeing, employment, parenting, emotional resilience, relationships and peer mentoring.
Since 2020, the Centre has supported more than 850 women across more than 220 locations nationwide, with services available free online.
The Orana roadshows are an opportunity for local organisations to come together, share what is already working, and explore simple ways to strengthen referral pathways and community support.
Sessions will include a Women’s Resilience Centre overview, information about services and referral pathways, networking with local service providers, and opportunities to explore collaborative partnerships.
The events will be hosted by Simone Allan, Founder of the Women’s Resilience Centre and their Ambassador and one of Australia’s most respected speakers, Robyn Moore, AM.

Women’s Resilience Centre CEO Dr Karen Wilcox said the community connection events reflect the Centre’s commitment to genuine partnership.
“Communities across regional Australia are already doing extraordinary work supporting women and families. We are not arriving with all the answers, we are arriving to listen, learn and explore how we can complement and strengthen the support that already exists,” Dr Karen Wilcox said.
For clubs, these roadshows are a practical example of the role venues can play in supporting safer, stronger and more connected communities. By providing a place for local services and community leaders to come together, clubs can help make recovery support easier to find, easier to understand and easier to access.
