The Leadership Program

Build the confidence and capability to lead your whole club, through practical, expert-led learning with a cohort of fellow club CEOs.

Best suited to: CEOs of smaller clubs, whether new to the role or experienced.

About this program

Designed for club CEOs with broad responsibility and limited executive support, The Leadership Program brings a cohort of club CEOs together each month for a live, facilitated session with expert contributors. Between sessions, participants apply what they’ve learned to current challenges in their own clubs.

  • Leading yourself: self-awareness, resilience and judgement under pressure
  • Leading people: communication, accountability, delegation and difficult conversations
  • Leading the club: strategic thinking, commercial confidence, prioritisation and change
  • Leading with trust: Board relationships, ethical leadership and governance
  • Learn through check-ins, facilitated modules, breakout discussions and live feedback

Cost: $2,380 (+GST) per person. 43% member saving.
Delivery: Live virtual sessions via Zoom
Duration: 12 × two-hour monthly sessions over 12 months

About this program

The Leadership Program PLUS combines the two-hour Leadership Program session with a 90-minute peer advisory roundtable. An experienced Chair from The CEO Institute’s CEO Syndicate community leads the whole session, helping the group examine live challenges, test options and agree practical next steps. All participants sign a confidentiality agreement, and cohorts are put together with ClubsNSW, taking location and competing clubs into account.

  • Part one, Thought Leadership: two hours of expert insight and practical learning
  • Part two, Thought Diversity: 90 minutes of structured, Chair-led peer advisory
  • Test your thinking on difficult decisions before you act
  • Continuing accountability as you revisit actions and share progress
  • Build trusted relationships across the ClubsNSW network

The CEO Syndicate connects experienced CEOs with carefully selected leaders from other industries for confidential peer advisory and practical strategic insight. Groups meet face to face each month, led by an experienced Chair, and are curated to exclude direct competitors so members can speak openly.
