Member clubs can access specialist workplace training focused on gender equality and creating safer, more respectful workplaces.
Clubs are at the heart of communities across NSW, giving the industry an important opportunity to lead positive social change.
As part of its commitment to preventing domestic and family violence, ClubsNSW has partnered with Our Watch to deliver violence prevention training to its leadership team and member clubs.
Delivered through Our Watch Institute’s Preventing Violence Against Women workshop, the training will help participants build their understanding of violence against women, gender equality and the role workplaces can play in prevention.
Our Watch Institute works with organisations to create meaningful change towards an Australia where women are safe and respected, providing expertise in violence prevention and gender equality.
What will the training cover?
The workshop is designed to encourage participants to take action in their workplace, at home and in their community.
By the end of the training, participants will have explored how to:
- recognise violence against women as a serious social issue and understand its connection to gender inequality
- understand the role workplaces can play in preventing violence against women
- identify actions that can promote gender equality in the workplace
- find further information and resources to support continued action.
For clubs, the training provides an opportunity to build capability within their teams and strengthen the role the industry can play in creating safer, more respectful workplaces and communities.
