Episode 115: Clubs Unite for Purple Friday

A new McKell Institute report has highlighted the role registered clubs could play in easing NSW’s housing shortage, with the industry capable of delivering tens of thousands of new homes with the right policy settings.

As the homelessness crisis deepens across NSW, registered clubs are playing an important role in supporting those doing it tough. From raising funds through sleepout events to providing food, medical care and other essentials to those less fortunate, the industry is delivering practical help where it's needed most.

From hosting dawn services and gunfire breakfasts to providing veterans with a space to reflect and connect, registered clubs brought communities together on ANZAC Day to honour our returned servicemen and women, with the traditional game of two-up following the morning commemorations.
