Overview
This course provides club directors with a practical understanding of financial management in the not-for-profit club environment. Participants learn how to interpret key financial reports, monitor organisational performance, assess financial risks, and make informed decisions that support strategic objectives and financial sustainability. The course focuses on understanding balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow reporting, budgets, key industry ratios, and reporting obligations, enabling directors to confidently oversee the financial health of their club.

Requirement
This course is required under the Registered Clubs Regulation 2015. It provides directors with an understanding of the complex role and responsibilities of a club director, including corporate governance, legislation, strategic and succession planning, and compliance requirements.
Timeframes and exemptions
- Directors who complete the course within 12 months of appointment to the role
- A minimum of two directors is required for small clubs with gaming revenue of less than $1 million
