Overview
A mandatory governance training program for club directors that covers director responsibilities, governance, financial literacy and Responsible Gambling Board Oversight (RGBO). The program is designed to help directors meet compliance obligations under the Registered Clubs Act.
This course is for
- Newly appointed directors within 12 months of appointment and directors who have not yet completed the required training.
Requirement
- Clubs with annual gaming revenue over $1 million: every director must complete MDT.
- Clubs with annual gaming revenue under $1 million: a minimum of two directors must complete MDT.
Timeframes and exemptions
- Must be completed within 12 months of appointment.
- Responsible Gambling Oversight excludes directors of clubs without gaming and requires prior completion of ARCG.
