
Clubs could not function without their dedicated people serving their communities and members just like front-line staff do. And we know to stay at the forefront of our industry, we need everyone involved in club operations, from the bottom up, to invest in their knowledge and skills.
To work in a registered club there are some specific requirements before you begin a role and some that are required once in the position (dependend on the club).
Required Training
Required under the Liquor Act
To sell, serve or supply alcohol you must have completed the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course. This course will need to be refreshed every five years.

Required under the Gaming Machines Regulation
If your work duties involve gaming machines you must have completed the Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) course. This course will need to be refreshed every five years.

Required under the Gaming Machines and Liquor Amendment (Harm Minimisation Measures Regulation 2024)
Required for Responsible Gambling Officers (club dependent).
This course provides staff with the practical skills required to proactively assist patrons who might be experiencing gambling harm.
